Gamblin Reclaimed Earth Set, Limited Edition Paints for Miners

This limited-edition Reclaimed Earth Colors set by Gamblin is made from pigments reclaimed from waters tainted by iron released from mines. The collaboration between engineer Guy Riefler and artist John Sabraw aims to improve the health of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers through the John Sabraw Fund for Art and Innovation at Ohio University.

The Brown Ochre pigment is naturally opaque and has a warm, golden undertone. The Rust Red pigment, with its transparency, carries the warm colors of rusty water, resulting in an earthy red-orange hue. The Iron Violet pigment is a deep, earthy violet, and it is the first mauve color that Gamblin has ever produced.

Each speck of pigment in this set has been reclaimed from the tainted waters, and Gamblin is donating over 20% of the proceeds to support the project. The set includes 37ml of each color, Brown Ochre, Rust Red, and Iron Violet, presented in a 6.5" primed cradled panel.
